World Tai Chi and Qigong Day
For the fourth year, a hardy group of Tai Chi Yukon members met in downtown Whitehorse on a chilly and windy morning. We were joining people from all over the planet who began practicing at 10 a.m. to celebrate World Tai Chi and Qigong Day. For the first time, the community of Faro took part in this event. A dedicated group met in the arboretum to do qigong exercises.

Workshop & Ranking in Seattle
At the end of March, Pam Boyde and Helene Dobrowolsky travelled to Seattle to take part in a weekend push hands seminar led by Yang Jun.
At this event, Helene tested for a level 2 ranking within the Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan organization. This involved a written test on tai chi history and principles and performing long form before seven examiners, including Yang Jun as head judge, a most unnerving experience. Nonetheless, she passed and becomes the fourth member of our group to rank within this system. Below right, Helene is holding the certificate and medallion for her "Silver Eagle".
